Jacumba
February 26th, 2008
It’s like stepping off the end of the world and landing on a planet called Jacumba. The town, dusty and small, is surrounded by huge boulder mountains.
And the houses. At the end of a rutted, dirt road we came to a house built in the style of a Spanish hacienda. Rocks were incorporated into the architecture. Huge rock walls. A rock chimney. Rising from the hillside, outcroppings of rock.
